Common Sense Networks Appoints Former Quantcast and Time Inc, Executive Merideth Long as Chief Revenue Officer


Los Angeles, November 11, 2022 -- Common Sense Networks (CSN), a company dedicated to elevating digital experiences for families through their singular expertise in age-appropriate content, today announced the appointment of Meredith Long as Chief Revenue Officer. The announcement was made by Eric Berger, Chief Executive Officer of the for-profit arm of Common Sense Media, to whom she will report.

In this newly added role, Long, who joins CSN from Quantcast (the world’s largest AI-driven audience behavior platform for the open Internet) will lead the company’s overall sales efforts. Leveraging CSN’s proprietary review platform, a gold standard trusted by parents around the globe and based on the most comprehensive child development research available, she will focus on developing safe and scalable solutions to help brands engage kids and families.

Since its inception in the summer of 2020, Common Sense Networks has provided essential family-facing and curation-focused services to a broad range of media clients including TikTok and YouTube and has been lauded for the 2021 launch of Sensical, a free, topic-based streaming platform for kids 2-10 honored this year as a Fast Company World Changing Idea. Based in the Bay area, Long is widely known as a well-respected industry leader who, during her time at Quantcast as CRO, led all $300M+ sales channels, marketing and business development for North America, partnering closely with the Chief Product Officer and Head of Engineering to identify areas for organic growth, product development and product launches. Prior to her position at Quantcast, Long was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Time Inc.’s News, Luxury & Style division where she developed growth strategies for Time Inc. brands including TIME, Fortune, Money, InStyle, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure and Departures. As the brand leader, she oversaw the brands’ overall financial and strategic performance as well as budget reporting. She also managed these brands’ major franchises and live events including the annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, TIME 100 and the Fortune Live Media Division, which includes Fortune Most Powerful Women, the Fortune Global Forum, CEO Initiative, Brainstorm Tech and many more.

In 2016, Meredith was named to the American Advertising Federation’s Hall of Achievement, which annually recognizes the most outstanding leaders in advertising under 40. She has served on the AAF’s Hall of Achievement Executive Committee as well as President of New York Women in Communications (NYWICI). She is a board member of The Mill Valley Library Foundation and Grace Cathedral Stewardship. Meredith has a B.S. in Journalism and Broadcast News from The University of Colorado, Boulder.
